Campus Tour

SUST, located in northern Xi'an , provides students and faculty with beautiful and essential learning facilities for a variety of uses. The following facilities highlight some of the most visible and important structures on campus.

SUST Gate

Upon arrival, visitors' first impression of campus is the gate at the north side of campus. It opens up to the Yingxing Walkway that leads students to the academic buildings. The gate itself is shaped like a key and represents the opening of knowledge.

Teaching Buildings

The buildings are an interconnected set of classrooms with a series of bridges and hallways that provide a place for SUST to fulfill its main goal: educating students. There are a total of six buildings with 240 rooms, which offer a suitable place for communication including classes, extracurricular activities, and studying.

Laboratory Buildings

SUST's focus on science and technology makes these buildings important for scientific development. In order to improve their research skills, science majors use these facilities to conduct research and experiments in more than 100 lab classrooms.

Library

With more than 1.3 million books, the Library provides a sea of knowledge for its users. The students and teachers can access resources that include study rooms and various media and literature to broaden their knowledge. Shaped like the Colosseum and surrounded by the campus lake, the architecture expresses the Chinese concept of harmony with its combination of circular and square elements, which connect with the well-known Yin and Yang philosophy.
